Dear Lord, Please help those who are facing challenges... please guide them to see the light thru darkness... the beauty amid ugliness... the joy beyond sorrow. May they reflect back at yesterday and find happiness, look forward to tomorrow with faith, and find peace in today... knowing that their soul is filled with Your pure love... Dear Lord these things we pray.

Timothy Kyler - An Inspiration to All

Subject: Timothy Kyler Update - 1/03/07
Dear Friends,
This has already been an eventful year for us, only 3 days in. Yesterday, we presented Timothy with 2 treatment options; he chose Cytoxin, a mega dose. Since then, his brain has not only been dealing with pressure from tumor load (his "new norm"), but also from chemo and extra fluids. He's had many symptoms at times - increased double vision, headaches, loss of balance, slurred speech, vomiting, temporary short-term memory loss... all culminated in a petit mal seizure this morning, complete with a call to 911, ambulance ride, ER, CT scan, chest X-ray, and here we sit back in ER. Timothy came out of the seizure on his own after about 20 min. (no drugs) and is now resting well. Timothy should be hospitalized for 2 or 3 days.
The CT Scan indicated no brain hemorrhaging (good), stability in tumors relative to the lst MRI (taken 125 days ago), and swollen ventricles (??? not sure why). The chest scan indicated a small amount of lung aspiration in the right lung. Please pray that Timothy's body will resolve this bit of aspirated material soon (so that it does not become problematic when his white blood cell counts start to drop - which will be within the next two to four days).
We have struggled somewhat with all that's been happening or what "should have been happening" these last several weeks, but our underlying peace and strength has come from the Lord. He is Sovereign and with us, and we are so thankful. Knowing Him through Christ does make all the difference in the world, esp. helping us look forward to the next world, heaven. Kevin's wording to Timothy yesterday is accurate, "We need to be heavenly minded."
Some prayer specifics follow; please pray as you're led...
* clearing of his lung
* relief from cranial pressure
* tumor damage
* no more seizures
* clear direction throughout treatments
* good rest/sleep
* our faith, strength, & testimony to glorify God
Thanks so much for your support!
Blessings,
Kay Ann and Kevin
