Katherine...Senior in High School fighting Cancer(s) needs your prayers

WE HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR KATHERINE "KAT" FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS - BACK WHEN SHE WAS DX WITH A BRAIN TUMOR - SHE MOST RECENTLY WAS DX WITH STAGE III COLON CANCER - POOR THING - SHE'S A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL - AND THIS ROUND OF CHEMO HAS TAKEN A TOLL ON HER  -  PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY IT IS A SIDE EFFECT OF THE CHEMO VS SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON.  THANKS SO MUCH! xoxo

Katherine had been doing well and recovering well from her last chemo on Friday Jan. 2, 2015.  She went back to school last Friday and we thought all was as usual.  On Saturday she suddenly became very sick.  She couldn't keep medicine down and so we took her to the ER Saturday night.  They gave her IV Meds and fluids and sent us home early Sunday morning.  She has not improved and I knew the dehydration was back this morning so I brought her in.  She is getting fluids and IV meds and we are waiting for a room. They plan to admit her to the hospital and run some tests to make sure everything is ok.

Please pray that they find out what is what and get her back on the road to recovery.  It's scary to see my girl this sick.  Thanks to everyone and I'll update as I know more.

Kiley B, youngster with Brain Tumor

UPDATE APRIL 11, 2014 AM

Cruising right along

Just a quick update to let you know things are progressing nicely.  Kiley is improving in every aspect.  We are excited to be going home on Saturday and are already planning a picnic.  Kiley is having a few issues with her vision so be praying that we get to see a neuro ophthalmologist  soon and that it is an easy fix.  We are really looking forward to a few days at home before we begin radiation, chemo and outpatient speech, occupational and physical therapy (no rest for the weary).  Thank you for your continued prayers.  We are blessed to have each and everyone of you in our lives.  Sheri

UPDATE APRIL 5, 2014 PM

Best Day Ever!

Yesterday Kiley walked to and from physical therapy with only the use of a cane! This was HUGE!  She barely even had to use her wheel chair all day.  The feeling and movement in the hip and knee is really improving, now we are just praying for movement in her ankle and foot to follow suit. Her short term memory appears to be improving as well.  She is having some small issues with her vision which we have yet to figure out.   She has backed off of her pain meds substantially and is feeling all around really good.  Your prayers are being felt in big ways.  We are at peace and are finding joy in life.  Next week she will be getting her staples out and meeting with the radiologist and oncologist again about her treatment.  The oncologist is also looking for a clinical trial that she could participate in alongside her chemo and radiation.  Please pray if this is what we are suppose to do that it would be clear and if so that she would be the one to receive the treatment as opposed to the placebo.  Also continue to pray for Megan as she had to go back home and to work, and for Curtis as he is trying to finish his semester at school.  One more thing Kiley was one month away from finishing her masters at Baylor and we are hoping that the school will be able to work with her to make her graduation possible.  Please pray all the pieces fall together to make this possible.  Bottom line we couldn't do this without you!  We are putting one foot in front of the other only because of your prayers and God's provision.  Thank you.

UPDATE APRIL 1, 2014 PM

First day of rehab

Kiley really enjoyed her therapy today and they pushed her pretty hard! She even had music therapy - although with the Burnett music genes they may not have any success with that. LOL.

However, soon after therapy was over she began having strong spasms on her right side (her weak side) and ultimately her whole body was shaking uncontrollably This lasted for over 2 hours. This was obviously stressing her out and further compounding the effect. medicine finally got it slowed down and she could sleep. The therapy today was probably just too much too soon after surgery. Pray that tomorrow goes better and she will be able to do some level of therapy but without this result at the end of the day.

Thank you for your prayers.  Bruce.

UPDATE March 26, 2014 PM

I would like to thank everyone who prayed for Kiley Burnett today. The surgeons were able to remove 60% of her tumor and place some chemo wafers in the tumor capsule. These wafers will work directly on the tumor as they dissolve. She still has a long way to go but can move all her fingers and toes which is a great sign. UPDATE March 26, 2014 AM

Crank up the prayers.

Kiley will be operated on today at St. Louis University Hospital.

The surgeons will remove as much of the tumor as they can and then treat with radiation and chemo.

Unfortunately, more cancer was found at her brain stem.

Later,
Robert

Dear PG...the "Sigs"...are my family, though not by blood...simply because they are "like" family in every way...except we never fight (I value my health ;-).  Anyway...PLEASE pray for this little girl...Please.

Rick,
I know you have enough to do, but, add Kiley B. to the prayer list.
This is John and Cindy’s niece and the docs just found a brain tumor about the size of a plum.

She is just starting this journey, sooooo…..prayers to her, her family and the doctor team for a safe and quick journey.

Dan Fath...fighting LUNG Cancer...

UPDATE April 2, 2014

My brother was diagnosed with lung cancer a while back and had 32 radiation treatments and goes in Monday for surgery.  It looks like they will have to take 4 maybe 5 ribs to get the entire tumor.  He is weak from all the other cancer that ran his body down, so we are praying for a second miracle.

Thanks...Kevin...

It's Chemo Time...and the prognosis is NOT favorable.

Can you imagine these coming Holidays and being with your dear
family, and seeing one of your family "dying" before your eyes?  Pray for Dan...your prayer will fortify Dan's FIGHT, it will lift Dan's family's spirits.  It will make their last Christmas together...

Thanks...
I know you prayer faithful
I know you will pray.

Sylvia's Requests... Aunt Judy. Infant "E" tumor

GREAT NEWS!!!

Subject: praise report!

To: Sylvia Pituch <shareprayer.sylvia@gmail.com>

Thank you so much for praying for 2yr old "E" when she got sick this weekend.  Her aunt sent this positive update as surgery was wrapping up this morning.  Praise the Lord!  Thank you for your prayers as she recovers. ~Cheryl

"No tumor!  Hallelujah!  They did a craniotomy this morning and discovered it is an abscess caused by an infection that will be treated with antibiotics over the next 6 weeks.  They are finishing up right now inserting a picc line that will deliver the antibiotics to her heart from what I understood.  She'll be in the hospital a few more days as the culture grows and the doctors determine the exact strain/type to learn how to treat it better.  Praising God and feeling relieved. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts over the last days - it was felt"

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Would you please pray for a 2.5yr old "E".  I received this info from her aunt: This morning she had a headache, threw up, started acting odd, began being twitchy and lost some movement on her left side. Initial scans show that she has a lesion on the right side of her brain - a tumor or something growing they think. They will do surgery for a biopsy, not sure when, probably Monday and get more info on what is going on.

And please add my dear Aunt Judy to your prayers, too.  She's been in the hospital for 2 weeks - heart & lungs are failing - moving to nursing home w/ hospice.  She told me she's not in pain so please pray the pain stays away & she has a peaceful passing.  Thank you.

Much love, Cheryl

Abby Haggerty UPDATE...progress

God continues to fill Abby with strength. Though we haven't seen her open her eyes yet she still amazes us every moment of the day. Several praises today - Abby was taken off the ventilator on a "trial" basis and she is breathing fine on her own. Her vitals continue to remain strong, and after praying over a "broken" pressure drain attached to her head, it began working perfectly!

Our prayers for Abby over the next few days are:

1. No additional bleeding.

2. She will have an MRI tomorrow to get a current picture of the AVM. Our prayer first and foremost is that the AVM has disappeared and that the MRI shows a dramatic improvement in her recovery.

3. That Abby will soon open her eyes and make more purposeful movements.

4. Wisdom for the doctors as they plan for Abby's next surgery and treatment options.

Once again Deb and I thank each of you for supporting Abby and our family in prayer. We continue to be in awe at how many people God is reaching and are confident Abby will soon be telling even more about her miracles in her own words.

Prayers for our friend in India, Mrs. Rajashree Mahadhir

Dear Rick & Erin,

I have a request to include a friend & his wife's name in your next prayer club meeting.

Mrs. Rajashree Mahadhir, wife of Mr. Prashanth Mahadhir residing in Haridwar, India is suddenly diagnosed with Brain Tumor.  I was told that Mrs. Rajashree already went through one surgery and awaiting for a second one.  I request you to kindly include Mrs. Rajashree's speedy recovery to normalcy again.

I am not known to Prashanth and his family directly, but he heard about the case of (our another family friend) Mrs. Kokila Ganesan, who has fully recovered from Leukaemia.  Earlier your Prayer Club prayed for the well being of Mrs. Kokila Ganesan.

Let us pray for the fullest recovery of Mrs. Rajashree Mahadhir from her sudden sickness.

Best Regards,
Ven Venkatesan

NOTE to Ven...I will pray my hour in perpetual Eucharistic Adoration this week for Mrs. Rajashree Mahadhir.
